Before you begin the setup process, ensure that you have the following: * A G router * A modem * A computer or laptop with an Ethernet connection * The installation CD or a computer with a stable internet connection to download the firmware

Step 1: Unbox and Physically Set Up the Router

1. Locate the G router and remove it from the box. Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into a wall outlet. 2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the modem to the black port on the router. Make sure to insert the other end of the cable into one of the modem's Ethernet ports. 3. Connect your computer to the yellow port on the router using an Ethernet cable.

1. Insert the installation CD that came with the router into your computer's CD drive. 2. Run the Setup Wizard on the CD-ROM and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. 3.
