Configure TP-LINK Router As Access Point For Device Isolation
Device Isolation, also known as Access Point Isolation, is a security feature that prevents devices connected to your wireless network from communicating with each other. This is particularly useful for safeguarding sensitive information and protecting your network from being infected by vulnerable IoT devices. In this article, we will guide you on how to configure your TP-LINK router as an Access Point for device isolation.
Step 1: Access the Router Settings
To access the router settings, you can either use the Tether app or the web management page of your TP-LINK router. For the Tether app, make sure you have downloaded and installed it on your mobile device. On the web management page, you can access it by typing the IP address of your router in your web browser.

Step 2: Enable Device Isolation
Once you are in the router settings, navigate to the Security tab and tap on Device Isolation. Alternatively, you can also go to the More tab and tap on Advanced Settings > Device Isolation. This feature might be labeled differently in different routers, so make sure to check your router's manual for specific instructions.
